Once Upon A Time, aka: Buying The Presidency

Once upon a time, and I am not even too sure about that, “WE THE PEOPLE” would vote for those whom we felt were the best qualified for public office! Nowadays, however, big money seems to rule the roost and more is the shame, for big bucks alone doesn’t always determine who is the best qualified to fulfill “The People’s Will!” Not only that, but indeed, sometimes “Lady Liberty” even takes it in the shorts after some duffer buys their way into the digs at “1600 Pennsylvania Avenue”, in my opinion?

This is not to say of course, that big bucks should disqualify an individual from throwing their hat into any presidential ring, but what I am saying is that big bucks alone do not always guarantee big accomplishments or even potential, as world history will attest?

“So be wise, and vote wiser, as no election should ever boil down to merely a pecker-match between billionaires and/or their financial backers - as Our Nation is far too important and vital for that!!”
