Wannabee Pilot?
Now we are treated to the story that John Kerry flew a jet over Isreal. While speaking to the Anti-Defamation League, Kerry claimed he was at the controls of an Israeli jet trainer.
One commentator on this latest wannabee antic is a Ron Pera, a veteran Navy combat fighter pilot. "I'm sorry but I don't believe for a second much of what John Kerry says," wrote Ron Pera. "I believe even less that he makes the comment he took off the jet trainer that he reportedly flew over Israel." Even a non-rated ground-pounder knows that a take-off or landing is the most dangerous part of any flight, and for a novice to be given the controls for such operation is inconceivable. Odds are, the next implosion will be Kerry's blasting any reporter who dares to question his aviation skills. Or maybe he'll just flip-flop on his Captain and the Pirates escapade.

No doubt the real instructor pilot had a touch on things and ?VIP? Kerry got to ?feel? the controls. If the instructor pilot valued his hide, he didn?t get further than a light touch away from the stick, pedals, etc. So, if this experience is stretched and construed to be ?flying a jet?, then there is some kind of sea story being put in the image milk bowl for the gullible groupies to lap up. Ya, maybe a ?Kerry and the Pirates? air saga in the making. How way, way cool.

Could happened
SuperScout
It may have happened, since Israel have some old F-4 Phanton II jets.(two seaters) United States may have sold or given Israel the T-33 Lockheed Shooting Star like we had at NAS Kingsville, Tex as trainers(with rear seat). A person like Kerry could have taking the stick in mid flight to make some maneuvers, and I doubt he was allowed to take-off and land. Just like GWB probably claimed he had done in the Navy jet before landing onboard the carrier. |

Skeeter, for a supposed retired Naval Aviator, CAG Commander, Naval Intelligence Officer, your command of the English language is appalling.

Thank you for your pithy reminder of The Inventor of All Things. Doing a little bit more research, here's what I've learned has been added to Al's resume:
Invented the airplane. First Instructor Pilot. Officially instructed John Kerry how to pilot a jet aircraft. Invented the Combat Action Report. Officially instructed John Kerry how to complete a Combat Action Report. ... still searching for others..............

Maybe that's why he wears a Navy Leather Flight Jacket?
Just a question...
USN-NNS5207. The rules, outlined in NAVADMINs 164/97 and 193/97, define those limitations for those authorized to wear flight clothing. The brown leather jacket may be worn by naval aviators, pilots, flight officers, undergraduate pilots, NFOs, flight surgeons and eligible enlisted aircrewmen (E7-9) with flight suits, service khaki, working khaki, winter blue, winter working blue and aviation working green. Eligible enlisted aircrew E6 and below may wear the brown leather flight jacket with flight suits, dungarees, winter working blue and winter blue. |

Here 'tis Monday!
No, Kerry is not authorized to wear a brown leather aviator's jacket, but it does fit his wannabee image to a Tee. Maybe the next thing we'll be treated to is his flinging the jacket over some fence somewhere, in yet another flip-flop of previously uttered statements or non-statements. On a more curious note, I read that several big-time liberal editorial writers are begging him to step aside from the nomination, and let somebody else head the ticket. Let's hear it for Dennis Kucinich, with his running mate, former governor Moonbeam Brown!
