Just watched a TV news thingie that showed 2009 New Years celebrations
around the world.

Sydney celebration was awesome!

The half hour difference is mainly to align Sth Australia with the Business hours with the Eastern States. One time it used to be an hour and that made it hard over time to do business with Sydney as most of company head offices are there
