An End To All Borders

When I heard a U.S. Congressman using the sentence “AN END TO ALL BORDERS” today I could not believe my ears! And maybe these are not the exact words that were uttered by men like Caesar, Hitler, Napoleon and Stalin, but the intent of this utterance left damned little to the imagination, save for that made by “The Boots of War” or the clamoring of heavy artillery, at least as far as I was concerned? Or maybe it is just me that was misinterpreting the real thought behind those five little words? (An End To All Borders)

Of course, “An End To All Borders” also brings to mind the main agenda of men like Cortez, Stalin, Hitler and even our very own government at times, replete with its policy of “MANIFEST DESTINY” or just a plain old “Land Grab” if you please, as only a damned fool does not at least think of the possibility from time to time, that some of our expansion has been at the least questionable in nature? Hey, no one is always perfect or eternally without sin, not even “Our Very Own Founders!!”

“But then, that is now all history and history is never to be questioned or re-examined – RIGHT?” And so it is, and so history will forever relate it, until that is, another one of those “Historical Revisionists” again comes along to rewrite that which actually was, into some romanticized and/or fictionalized version of how it should have been? And say, isn’t this how Hollywood and D.C. originally got their start as well?

If you don’t like something the way that it really is, then you just spin it around a bit and re-tell it – “Until It Comes Out In Just The Way That You Want It To?”
