Too Much Reliance

In my opinion, ‘We the People’ place far too much emphasis and reliance upon the will and the demands of others! And be those demands from government, foreign entities, authoritative figures, clergy, or even friends, it must always be remembered that we were all born as free men and women – people with individual wants, needs, ideas, thinking processes and even personal objectives – FREE being the key word here!

So why is it (I ask you), that almost from the age of reason, we are literally forced to align ourselves to one faction or another? And why (and once again I ask you), did your ancestors make their arduous journey to this nation, if almost immediately upon their arrival, they once again irretrievably cordon themselves off by ethnicity, religion, politics or even former nation of origin? “Are we not all citizens of the finest and greatest nation on Earth first and is that not enough to relish, to be proud of and to build upon?”

Now I am not telling you not to be proud of your heritage, your education or even your ethnicity! Rather, what I am asking you is: Should you not be more proud of “The United States of America”, the nation that you now call home? And do you really know, or even appreciate, just how much blood, sweat, tears, toil and even grief, went into our making, our defense, our advancement, and even our very survival, as these were the genuine fuels of our past, our present and indeed, even our very own futures!

Think about that for a moment, each and every day of your life if you will, as your own future and the future of “Our Very Own Nation” as well, may some day, (maybe even sooner than you would care to believe) come to absolutely rely upon it!!
