I have no doubt that the United States will again become friends with France and those other double-crossing European (etc) entities who valued oil and wealth more than true friendship! (Painful but inevitable) I do, however, take great exception to that Iraqi-TV Adjunct, CNN INTERNATIONAL (opinion), and the remarks made by one Bruce Morton, ?and on a Sunday no less!!?

CNN went to great lengths to give a ponderous list of how much we owe France and how beholding we are to them! (BULL SHIT)

Morton mentioned Lafayette, a man that France itself treated like crap after his return to the land of the snail-eaters!

He also mentioned the ?Statue of Liberty?, built by France but given a home, honor, and meaning by the United States!

He mentioned French products like wine and champagne, much of which, most of those who fought, bled and died in the Coalition - can?t afford anyway! And for that matter, who benefits financially from your export of these luxuries to the USA?

He also mentioned the actresses etc, that France gave the United States. Again, were these people not exceptionally well-paid for their services?

Morton also related how Hemmingway and others loved France! Most Americans can not even afford the airfare, nor would they go if they could! For the information of you "Froggies," whatever you have, can produce, or even dream of in France, we do it better here in America!

CNN then pushed our faces into the fact that France assisted us in the American Revolution. That, I assume, was back when they understood what friendship really meant? And for the record, France had ulterior motives at that time, as Great Britain and France hatted each other?s guts! Add to this the fact that we saved France?s bacon more than once since then, and that debt is marked paid in full!

And what about France?s attempts to control Mexico while we were busy fighting a Civil War! ?Damned sneaky, wouldn?t you say??

So get off our asses CNN International and France! Even Benedict Arnold and Lucifer (Devil) were once good guys too, but that does not grant them (or you) the right to bury a knife in our backs when the urge ($ + Oil) arises!

Again, time heals all wounds, and in your case (France) you have plenty of political heels to go around!
