Default Great Pics guys...

I haven't been there since 2001...summer, and won't ever be back. The place has changed so much since 1982. That doesn't mean that others shouldn't...just I've been there enough.

Hal...great you were able to see the place at least once in your life. Same same to A.B.

Two failed attempts , finally made it to the Wall in 05 at a reunion of 3/5th Cav there when three guys from my platoon took me to say Hello to our brothers on the Wall. Not good bye as I had feared but Hello. Promised Tiny , right before he died , I would go to a panel that has several of our platoon there and leave something. I couldn't do it last year but will try again this spring.

Default The Wall

have not made it to the wall in DC, but have been to the full size traveling wall. Very powerful and emotional experience for me. Got let Gary go, and rest in peace, and keep his memory alive with me in a different way.

Well...to tell the truth, I wouldn't have gone if I coulda figgered a way out of it. The whole idea scared me spitless. But I was told repeatedly that the trip was necessary to graduate the program, and that I wouldn't have to actually get close. In the event it turned out to be almost as powerful at long range as short and it seemed a shame to have come so far and not be able to make the last 100yds or so. Also a double dose of AM meds didn't hurt. In the end I'm glad I made it.
