Funny Ain't It
3-18-2019
(More Dark Reflections) It’s funny how everyone claims to have all of the answers? And the higher they climb, the more convinced they become of their infallibility until in the end, they no longer even have a need for “God Himself” or so they may think? “What Fools These Mortals Be!!” It is also humorous to envision in one’s own mind’s eye, the look of utter shock and terror that must appear upon the solemn and trembling lips of the damned, as they finally come to realize that they have journeyed far beyond any second chances and that there is at least one thing in the entire universe that is truly eternal- “It being damnation Itself!” “Finally, isn’t it also amazing how some people opt for about four-score years of high-life and frivolity, when in the end, the cost of such foolishness just may be eternal damnation itself?” But What the Hell - “Life is but a terminal adventure anyway and all else is but vanity and self-delusion!” But at that point in time, and when any attempts at a belated dialogue or even an apology, is moot and a waste of time, and even the irreplaceable human soul and spirit are being “Slowly Digested Within The Festering Bowels of Hades!” “What Then Amigos?” Hardcore

Pentagon faces 'challenge' finding money for Trump border wall
By: Lauren Meier - The Washington Times - Tuesday, March 19, 2019 RE: https://www.washingtontimes.com/news...ey-trump-wall/ Paying for President Trump’s Mexican border wall presents a “challenge” for the U.S. military as it scrambles to find money already earmarked for other uses, a top Pentagon official acknowledged Tuesday. Speaking at a Brookings Institution event on defense spending Tuesday, Patrick O’Brien, the director of the Defense Department’s office of economic adjustment, said that while his office “doesn’t have anything to do with” the wall, the matter “is a challenge for the department.” Under mounting pressure from lawmakers, the Pentagon Monday sent to Congress a list of some $6.8 billion worth of projects that could potentially be delayed to construct a border wall. Of the money at risk, about $1 billion is from Army accounts, $2.3 billion is from Navy, the Air Force accounts for $1.5 billion and another $1.5 billion is from department-wide funds. “Responsible people are looking at it, trying to come up with means to respond for the requirement as they’re also trying to meet the needs of our forces,” Mr. O’Brien said.
