I'm trying to figure out my new camera so I take pictures of almost everything. Got to figure these things out. So I practise.

Picked some flowers for you from my wife's roses.

Relly nice work, both of you. I don't do pictures but here are my new favorites taken by others. The first is Shirley and me on top of Grassy Ridge on Roan Mountain and the next is my daughter Cora and her fiancee just after he proposed to her and she accepted on Grandfather Mountain. It seems me and my family like to perch on mountain tops. Eagles or buzzards, you decide. LOL

Fred,
I hope your daughter didn't climb that mountain in her bare feet.

Keith, what kind of camera is it that you got?

Great pictures. I have two cameras. I am wanting a zoom lense for my cannon very badly. thinking it will be my goal for my birthday. Its a major chunk of change...lol

Here are a few recent bug pictures taken with the cannon

Default Melody,

You do such a great job.
I got a canon A460 5.1 megapixels.

My wife has an older A410 that does pretty good, the A460 is slightly more advanced. The A410 has a 3.0 megapixels. If you are really serious the camera people say you should have an 8 pixel or higher. The 5.0 seems to do just fine for me. I got my A460 on sale for $75 because canon is bringing out the newer A470 which has 7.1 megapixels. Canon makes a good product.

Can I play too?

I just got a new digital camera about a month ago.
Like ya'll I'm still tryin' to figger it out.

It's a Kodak M763 (7.2 megapixels).

One thing I learned already...don't take pics of white flowers with the sun behind ya! All you get is WHITE with no detail.

Here's three flowers from our yard this summer.

This is a pink Allamanda that's in bloom now:

This is some kind of lily that we had earlier this year:

We only get a couple of flowers every year on our yellow Hibiscus:

Default Steve,

Melody and I will let you play. Those new digitals really take great pics. Better than the film pics. With a $100 - $200 camera you can take pics like a pro, if you have a good eye. But, we aren't allowing BobK to play he's too much of a show off.

OK Steve, i am officially jealous! LOVE the hibiscus! That is a gorgeous flower.

I have two cameras. A point and shoot which is a Nikon S10 6.1 megapixels and my other is an SLR Canon Rebel xt which is 8 megapixels. Really need to take a class for photography.

When I was able to work out of the house for a short while I saved up the mone for the slr. I had planned on working more but my grandpa's condition kinda made it very very strange. He was always pestering the others about where I was. Now I don't even have my on car! LOL I was planning on saving for a nice zoom lense for it but that just now is back on track. Love taking pictures of birds. The other day we had about 100 buzzards catching air above our house.
