Marathon coming to National Infantry Museum

The Columbus Roadrunners and Fort Benning will host a new race, the Soldier Half and Full Marathon, Nov. 13 to benefit the National Infantry Museum, House of Heroes and Honor Flight. Cecil Cheves, race director and member of the Columbus Roadrunners, said giving the proceeds to military organizations seemed fitting."This is a tribute to the Soldiers and how much we appreciate them," Cheves said. "They sacrifice so much for our country. They are in harm's way and they give so much of themselves to serve others."
