Smile Hello fellow patriots

Just a little about me. My name is Daniel Sauerwein. I am 21, the son of a 24 year Army Infantry 1SG, and proud to be an Army brat. I currently attend Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL where I am a senior majoring in History. I hope to go to Grad. school to study both early American and Military History, so if any of you teach at a grad. program, I would love to hear from you. I have lived in Ft. Leonard Wood, Ft. Riley, Ft. Bliss, Baumholder, Germany, and Ft. Hood, and now live in Jerseyville, IL. I attempted to enlist in the Air Force, but was disqualified because of bad vision. I am really looking forward to getting to know more in this community. I hope to hear from you all.

HOOAH,

Army_Brat84

Daniel...welcome aboard. Most of the guys and gals on this site are OK, but a few you must watch out for. If you ever hear the term "Psyco", or see it in print, watch the guys that are using that thread. These folks are so crazy, they know that it is mis-spelled and still don't care. They may even try to get you to attend their church revival and hog throw held each year in the North Georgia Mountains....be afraid! Be very afraid!

Thanks, I'll try to remember that. Check out some of my other threads. What do you think of the Reagan quote? I only wish I could have voted for him. Oh, how do you have a registration date of 1969?

Brat-

Welcome, and thank you for remembering!
Don't believe we have any regulars here that teach history as such. However we've got quite a few folks who could tell you a bit about what what it's like to live it (usually uncomfortable). You can find the "big picture" in books, if you're interested in the "little picture" you're in the right place. Speaking of pictures, you might be interested in the gallery.

The '69 registration thing was a glitch that occured during a site update.Or at least that's my understanding.

Thanks for being here with us Daniel, yer gonna luv it. I can't think of a better place to find what you need in your studies but yah gotta watch out for those Psyco guys and gals hidden in the elephant grass.
PF's will take you days to just do a perfunctory skimming of all of the information available here. David and Bern have made the Patriotfiles their lifes mission and there ain't none better than those two and what they've accomplished.

Welcome to the PF Daniel and there's plenty to explore on this site, besides the forums, that will help you with your studies. I'm not sure if I can help, for I only graduated from the School of Hard Knocks.

Don't sweat the Psyco Vets talk ... they are all good people although they do have a few strange rituals when they gather on Pysco Mountain.
