“On the heels of 9/11, I heard a quote from Teddy Roosevelt that said, ‘Every American has an obligation to do what you can, with what you have, where you are,’” said Michael Peterson, wiping the sweat from his face as it dripped down from underneath his white cowboy hat. “I was too old to join [the military], so I figured I could sing.”
