When Col. Bob Cornes first came to IRAHC as the commander in 2015 the facility was a hospital. But after reviewing a small hospital study, Army Medical Command decided the facility should be a clinic and it fell to Cornes to oversee that transition and everything that came with it. But beyond work, Cornes is a family man with an interest in health and his community. He said he and his wife and children participated in as many community events as possible and enjoyed the activities that the area has to offer--which includes nurturing his hobby as an avid bicyclist.
