E D I T O R I A L

The issue:

Lt. Jack Rittichier died in a helicopter crash while serving in
Vietnam 35 years ago.

Our opinion:

Lt. Rittichier gave his life for this country, now America is giving
him the resting place he deserves.

After 35 years, Lt. Jack Rittichier's family has closure.

He died in a helicopter crash while serving in Vietnam and the remains
of the Barberton, Ohio, man were among those of four U.S. servicemen
recovered from the crash site near Ban Kaboui, Laos, and positively
identified, the Pentagon announced this week.

While we know his family is greatly relieved, it also reminds us that
Lt. Rittichier is not the last of those missing in action. About 1,800
American servicemen are still unaccounted for from the war in Vietnam.

The others whose remains were identified are Air Force Capt. Richard
C. Yeend Jr. of Mobile, Ala.; Air Force...
