I have been buying books for son for over twenty years . He likes Peter Capstick's hunting books, has read "We were Soldiers Once " but really doesn't care that much about reading books. He starts colts so that is his real interest in reading , he reads the way a colt moves ,acts ,and reacts. Thats cool!

Default Colts

They move nicley in your hand, Acts well when you cock the hammer, and reacts vilently when you pull the trigger.

Default No young horses,

Plenty of hand guns.
I drive a Mustang but that ain't a horse.
Now Dodge made a colt but that wasn't a handgun, and Ford also made a Pinto and a Maveric, But then a Maveric might have been a cow.
No what I mean?

Nope . Must be talkin' about replicas.

Now then back to books. Anyone read Marshall's "Battles in the Monsoons" ? That is where I first read about the fighting in the Idrang in the fall of '65. The 1st Cav had an extraordinary group of battalion commanders. Hackworth, Emerson and Moore to name a few.An older book but a good read.
