“It is nice to be nice, but not too damned nice!!”

“So who am I” – I am just a poor damn fool with very limited talents and even less assets, but I am a believer in “My Country!” As such, and having helped many of those causes, politicians and people, that I truly believed in and even trusted, my phone has been set ablaze by those who are attempting to make a fast buck at my expense, and this by usually using a canned script (and pitch), for one cause or another, ranging all the way from politics to saving some endangered species of bedbugs and just about every point in between!!

Now I know for a fact that lists of potential targets, fish, prospects, and suckers are sold and distributed around the nation! And I also know that these “Boiler Rooms” are often manned by hungry people, who may (?) not even know where their own next meal “may be coming from?” But it does get more than a little perturbing at times to be constantly deluged by damned fools, hucksters, the genuine article, or even boiler-rooms full of people, who are passing themselves off as being caring patriots and even bleeding hearts - and who, if you do relent and then send them a few of your very last bleeding bucks, may (?) just use that cash to buy their next shot of hooch, or another cold can of brew? So now - I just tell these people to put their request in writing - ‘and that is, more often than not, the last that I will ever hear from them!’
