VIETZANKONGHOA'S CROWN JEWELL OR THE PHAM VAN DONG'S LETTER

The Vietzankonghoa Historian on SCV , the Chinese Mendicant qttt,
had a section in his webpage entitled History of Vietnam
(http://lichsuviet.cjb.net/view_article.asp?id=88&cat=12) on the
various treasonous acts of the Vietkong in which Pham Van Dong's
letter is the Crown Jewell.
It was claimed by the Vietzankonghoa like qttt, Hytran, Nguyen Van
Canh, Vu Quoc Thuc, lam le trinh, bui le etc in last as the alpha and
omega of the proof of the Vietkong selling Vietnam Land and
Territorial waters to China. El Chino Conscience of Boat People
translated it into English for his readers.

TO: Comrade Prime Minister of People Republic of China

Dear Comrade Prime Minister of PRC

We respectfully bring to Comrade Prime Minister's attention the
followings:

The Government of Democratic Republic of Vietnam acknowledge and is in
full agreement with the Declaration on 14th September 1956 of the PRC
on its Resolution pertaining to its territorial waters.

The Government of Democratic Republic of Vietnam solemnly respects
your Resolution in question and will instruct all of our responsible
government agencies to carry out scrupulously their works in
accordance with the 12 nautical miles Territorial Waters claim of the
People Republic of China.

Please accept our most respectful Salutation Dear Comrade Prime
Minister

As the document clearly spells out, PVD only recognizes and solemnly
respects the "12 nm Territorial Waters" claim of the PRC and NOTHING
ELSE.
No EEZ (Exclusice Ecomomic Zone)has ever been mentioned.
I believe that at the time the document was signed, 1958, the EEZ
notion was simply ...non-existent.
The term EEZ and its delineation of 200 nm beyong and adjacent to the
12 nm Territorial Waters claim only pop up much later, in the 70s or
80s perhaps but certainly not at the time PVD wrote this letter.
