I am sure that this subject has been brought up before, but I am new here so I am going to bring it up again if not for the first time.

We just sat down for supper/dinner and the subject was brought up about Vietnam, Korea and now Afghanitan (sp)

What is going to happen when it is over ( if ever )?

We are going to bring them over here and set them in new houses and new cars and medical and yes even very profitable bussinesses.

Yet turn the other cheeck and the govt wont do it for their own Vets that really deserve it.

Yes reeb that seems to be the way we do business in this country. Knock them down then build them up at least thats the case since ww2

Let's not drive German or Japanese Cars! That's one way to get back at those ungrateful folks. However, it seems to me that there isn't anything purely American. We certainly need to support our veterans better. We really need to totally revise our immigration policy. We as a nation our getting crowded, except for Eastern Nevada. I think we should make Eastern Nevada into a new Palestinian State.

Remember the Peter Sellers movie "The Mouse that Roared." Great movie about a tiny european country that needed funding. They decided to declare war on the U.S.. They wanted to lose then get foreign aid. That movie has to be at least 30 years old. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Sorry for being off subject but you just reminded me. A LONG time ago we put on a high school play, "The Mouse That Roared". I was the professor.

I've often thought about France, haven't liked their government for a long time. Maybe we should declare war on them, surrender and then demand they re-build us. Then again they'ed probably just re-decorate, make us drink more wine and require us to saut'e everything from green beans to grits. It a cruel world.
