"ZERO TOLERANCE?"

"Has the entire world gone mad and declared war upon youth?" Nary a day passes by when we are not shocked by the news of mere children being murdered. Cut down in the prime of life by a peer, some damned crazed fool, or an overly zealous international entity with far more bombs than brains! But do most of these child-killers repent, apologize or even feel remorse over their un-Godly deeds - "HELL NO!?" Instead of admitting that
they [whom ever they may be], erred in their judgment or actions, these (adult) two-legged instruments of death, usually come up with a myriad of excuses and alibis!

Unfortunately, this appalling attack against youth is international in scope! "Human Monsters" are preying more and more upon innocence, both here and abroad. If it isn't some beast lustfully attacking the kids of our nation, it's some world-class animal blowing children to pieces, either by terrorism, or retaliation there-of!

So when, if ever, will this institutionalized insanity cease? Will merely throwing kids, some
as young as pre-teen, into adult prisons stop the senseless violence? Will blowing up bus-loads of unsuspecting children right a perceived wrong, or will retaliations that target mere babies, as well as their adult mentors, put an end to this never-ending bloodbath?

So what are the causes behind these tragic events? Are kids just plain rotten today [I think not]? Is it (possibly) life in the fast lane that is forcing our children to grow-up before their time? Or is it we "The Adults" that must honestly shoulder a goodly portion of the blame for this tragic scenario - "DAMNED STRAIGHT!!"

Kids are usually taught by observation, just as grown ups are influenced by political example! Unfortunately, however, many of the observations and examples that are being displayed by adults these days, are appalling! Giving a kid everything he demands [except love and guidance] and then turning him [or her] loose upon the streets, is hardly the make-up of a good parent! Neither, unfortunately, is abandoning children to the mercies of a vicious adult penal system the only answer either, in my opinion!

As for this "Let's Ignore The Problem And It Will Go Away" approach, envisioned by far too many in government today, this too is an ignorant travesty! Granted, the "Toss Them Into The Slammer, and Throw The Key Away gambit", supplies a quick fix for those in power who live by the "Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind" philosophy of self-delusion!

I suppose that the problems of youth are so puzzling to some in power who were born fully developed (and corrupt), that they respond in the only fashion that they know how to, and more's the shame! Hopefully, however, the day will never arrive when we mature adults begin to heap criminal sentences upon those who have not yet arrived at the "Age Of Reason?!" COME TO THINK OF IT?!
