“Now ask yourself these few questions?”

“Just how much T.V. time are you exposed to in the space of your average day?”
“How many newspaper stories do you read on a regular basis, and these about people who may have opposing views to your own?”

And Finally – “Just how much of your upbringing, schooling or even your television viewing time (etc), do you think has really stuck to you like glue!?”

Now let me ask you this (once again) – “Just how much of your thought processes are a direct result of your own analysis and independent thinking and just how much of it is a direct result of other people’s input, orders and directives?

Like I Said Before – “These are but a few questions, and what-ifs”, for you to seriously think about and ponder - for a moment or two??”

Let's see if I can answer some of these:
-
1. First of all - I'm Navy Veteran for 12 years - military news is my top reading.
2. Second - my personal post are of those of mine own. Though many may disagree!
3. Third - I do post the original threads and at times and make personal comments.
4. Do I believe everything I read - Hell no many times.
5. My analysis is my own - good or bad - and I welcome any feedback I may get.
6. At 75+ my memory is not what it once was - so I'm in a fog sometimes.

Also the VA is sending me to get two CT scans - its not looking good so maybe some
of my personal comments may be affected. I've a large tumor of which they believe
to be cancerous - blood works ok - urine ok - but my breathing is borderline and
the tumor has enlarged - and I've lost 51 lbs. in six months -and no longer have an
appetite for many things.

Surgery will be made upon review of the CT scans. Where I'm not sure yet -
The VA hospital is way north of where we live - and I don't know long
I will be in there? Best estimate 10 days depending on what they find and
if another surgery is needed.

As you know my Kathleen is also failing and both our daughters work.
So I'm not sure who I can get to watch over her while I go through the
surgery - and how long my stay will be in the hospital - if
I survive the surgery?

All males in my family have died around this age from various issues.
Accept my brother died from AO.
My wife can't sit in a car for more than 20 minutes without discomfort.
So if my report seems a bit anxious - it could be I'm no longer playing
with a full deck - have a lot on my mind.
Note: We all die - its inevitable - when the old man calls your hand -
your history.
Trying to stay positive - but it looks like the hand writing is on the wall.

Other than that;

HC you are one hell of good guy and your posting ask & say all the
right things. Keep the pressure on - you're good at it.
But as we all know we don't think alike - yet we are all still brother's.
I will post my last post - the day before I go in to the hospital - if there
are any updates.
