Has the ability to know if someones useing a SS card ilegally or not. They have all the numbers, (they gave them out) they know that "Frank Smith" born in 1897 is now working again in construction. It should be there responcibility to notify the business owner and the athorities as to Frank Smiths work status. But they don't. Just like the border issue, the SS office is not going to do anything untill pressure is applied.
If an employer is presented with , what looks like a real SS card, Just how can it be checked?
An employer should NOT have access to a record bank with all SS numbers, but there should be a place for an employer or a law enforcment agency to check a number.

AS I posted several times, since 1996, when the IRS stopped sharing computer data with the INs and Customs, they have had the ability, and have the lists now, of employers hiring illegal aliens. The SSA have the lists available as well. This has been on CNN / Lou Dobbs as well. This administration could solve this wuth an Executive Order. In effect, they are condoning massive employer fraud, and massive ID theft by illegal aliens. There have been several GAO reports about this. The ones running things want the situation to continue as it is, and it will.

There is a benifit to not stoping Payment to a SS system that needs money. But Im not sure if the benifit outweighs the problem that having all the ilegales use the medical system for free and taxpayers pay the bill. Executive Order? Maybe, But The SS system needs no Executive order to anounce who is not whom in the system. I wouldn't think it would be Bush's responciblity to run the SS office no more that would it be Bush's responcibility to run FEMA. He appoints people to do that, A "beef" with the SS office should be pointed at its director.
