Found you at last!!

Well it's good to be back with the Patriot Files guys. I get tired of that wannabe bookseller posting on History Channel's Vietnam forum.

What's up with me? Well I am still in Montana. I gave up law practice due to PTSD issues. But am in a voc rehab project where I am working as historical worker at the local museum. I had two grandsons born in 2006 and they are now over one and growing like weeds.

I will get a total knee replacement on my left at the VA hospital at Fort Harrison MT (Helena). Surgery will be a week from this coming Wednesday, on november 14.

My son is still an Army career man. This summer he was distinguished honor grad and Iron Man winner at Drill Sergeant's School at Fort Benning. His was the last class to graduate at Fort Benning. They are closing the DS School there. He is currently on leave before moving his family to his new post at the Basic Training Center in Fort Jackson, SC.

My oldest daughter is still a foreign service officer, this time stationed in D.C. Next daughter waits tables in Baltimore and the other is an Art Education major at the University of Montana here in Missoula. She has my oldest grandson, so I have one nearby for proper grandpa spoiling.

We had the traveling wall here last summer, sponsored by my Vietnam Vet American Legion Post in Missoula "Forgotton Warriors" Post 101. It drew many visitors. We got the governor over to speak at a formal ceremony.

Nice to be back.

Glad you could make it! Your D.I. son will only be 2 hours from me if there is anything I can do to help him. If he's not going to live on base, tell him to check out Newberry, SC. Nice place but a little commute for him....especially being a DI.
