Default This is the week!

The USAREC board that will be reviewing my US Army OCS application packet meets tomorrow and I should have notification as to if I am accepted on maybe as early as Thursday, or as late as Friday. Hopefully my government likes me.

Yesterday I thought, a week that starts this good, will end good... but this morning my car that I've had for a year and three months that has not yet received a single scratch was covered with egg... so I guess a good week has already gone bad.

Yup - I'm not going to be tactful about it... I'll flat out ask you guys to send your thoughts/prayers my way!

Oh yeah - somebody asked about the quote in my signature at the bottom, and I had to respond that I saw it,,,, somewhere, not sure where though. Well, I saw it again when I started reading Joe Heller's Catch 22 again - it's in there.

You'll do fine , a wise short guy once told me life " life will unfold as it should " I honestly am proud you are doing this. You got a good heart - thanking you in advance for your service.

Brad- looks like you already had your bad luck for the week. Lucky for you it was the Egg! I'm so excited, it's like we have our favorite son on here waiting to do us proud!

Good luck Brad

We in Oz have adopted you already. Your signature says it all. Your a winner and a trier - the winner takes the glory but the trier keeps the passion.

Life without passion is life without liberty and both are worth dying for.

Brad

Something has changed my life. I never thought it possible but I am now a true beliver. I can't tell you in what but one day you will find it yourself and when you do life will have such a profound meaning you will feel you have touched God. This is not a religious thing but it is so difficult to explain. It's a personal thing. If I had lived my life and not found this I would have been content - now I am in a different sphere.

Short answer: Yes I made that up

...and I was working with the assumption you were just from the other side of the sphere! I can't help but wonder what the 'something' you reference is - but I suppose that is yours... and hopefully someday I'll have mine.

I added your philosophical insight to my quote list that's only in view when sitting at my desk at work (yeah, they have NO idea I plan on leaving!). Your quote is in company with the words of John Stuwart Mills, Asimov, Norman Thomas, Churchill, Nixon and Michael J. Fox (yeah, MJ Fox).

Thank you Wazza, Thank you Jane, Kenmar, DMZ-LT: it's an honor to be in your thoughts!
