Default 1 cavs Mule

They made to version of this thing , 4 wheel steering called the commander unit which had two seats and the two wheel steering . This is the one we all knew. That carried anything from a load of 81s to a 106, I seen a mule fire a 106 once, it jumped about a foot off the ground.
They had a Hurculiese engine. Tough little thing that anyone with some land would love to have.
Or in 1cavs case ,, eat.

Ours had pinstripe rims, complements of David Miller the surgical tech that lived by himself (mostly) in the body tent. They had weak clutches and Miller kept tearing them up during the mule drags down on the perimeter road. Thus began his life of crime: s tealing mules, taking out their clutches in the body tent and then putting them back where he got them with the bad clutches. If you hear anyone say that mules were trash ask if they were at Quon Loi.

That was a good one Doc

BTW my Uncle Ernest Hanger while serving in the motor pool(In Korea) had a Col tell him his jeep wasn't fast enough! So, my Uncle took the biggest Motor he could get his hands on (I think it was a P51 Mustang Engine http://www.americanaeroservices.com/...e-install5.jpg ) and got it hooked up. When the Col picked up the jeep he started it up Yelled he hopes it runs better and floored the accelerator. The last they saw of the Col he hit the berm and flew Jeep and all into the Sewage Lagoon. The jeep was ordered taken apart and gotten rid of.They got rid of it but it was not taken apart just sent somewhere else Also the link I added shows the diminsions of a P51 Merlin engine and it looks like it was possible to put it into the Jeep setting in the foreground

Jerry, Jerry, Jerry
The RR engine weighs more than the jeep. The suspention wouldn't hold it, The engine is liquid cooled But the Jeep radiator wouldn't cool it. , the transmission would come to about the 3rd cylinder of the RR engine, The Jeeps Flywheel and Clutch would have to be hooked to the RR somehow,The clutch would melt soon as you hit the gas, If the clutch held the trans or rear end would break, Exhoust would be so loud you couldn't talk and 140 octaine gas would be hard to find.
Its possible to put a RR engine in a Jeep but not likely.
