I'd say go see the Wild if you are able to. You could stop in at the Mall of America too. It's the largest mall in America. I lived in Minnesota for a while. I saw as much as I could of the state. It's truly a beautiful state. The hockey is great too..if you could get used to a team called the Wild.

The mall is not much of an enticement - but I've been wanting to hit Minn (city or state) for awhile now. Haven't stopped in the state since I was a kid (WAS?!). I've heard the city has some amazing clubs and bars. But the 'Wild'? That's 'Crazy'!

The Dallas Stars is our old team. They used to be the North Stars and the new owner moved them out of here. They were selling out all their games right up to moving day. The cheap SOB owner thought he could get a better deal in TX. His name is still spoken with disgust here. He's so cheap he kept the name so he wouldn't have to buy new jerseys.

I don't know the correct term for the league - it's an equivalent to baseball's minor league: but Lincoln has a team that always does pretty well.... the Lincoln Stars! I'm not sure if they are affiliated with Dallas or not. The owner of the bar I worked at in college is a HUGE fan - and on game days it is the Stars bar (also the official 'I'm an out of town Nebraska farmer here for a Husker's game' bar). The players would come down after the game and get pissed at me, their bartender, because I wouldn't serve them... they are almost all in High School!
