Angry In 10,000 public schools today...

If your blood pressure can handle it, listen to a few of the "Hip Hop" tunes our kids are being taught for "Social Studies" today... under the name "Flocabulary" - degenerating our kids' minds and turning them into racists.

And we wonder why the US is falling behind every other advanced nation in the fields of math, science, and other critical areas? Does anyone care to advance an idea about which political party is pushing this educational degeneration?

I didn't learn about this until yesterday.

10,000 public schools use it in their curriculae... all in an attempt to lower the standard of knowledge to the level where it can be fashioned in the manner of fads.

Exposed to it, my granddaughters would not have a clue what they were trying to teach, and would have to diminish their own language skills in order to discuss it.

Maybe now you more fully understand my complete and total opposition to publicly funded schooling. The entire system is corrupt, and also is a major plank in the platform as advocated by the Communist Manifesto.

All one has to do is consider the timeless documents and writings that were turned out during our Revolutionary Period. None of these Founding Fathers was government-schooled, and most were either home-schooled, church-schooled, or self-taught.

It took me too long a time to come to the same conclusion, certainly in terms of Federal funding of education anyhow. That, has been an unmitigated disaster.

What astounds me though is that those in charge of the federal education system do nothing but a) proclaim how successful and vital it has been, and b) constantly complain about the same list of 4-5 failures it has had since the late 1950s.
