Angry Obama's "supplemental" Military Request Gives Money to the Palestinians & North Korea

Obama's "supplemental" Military Request Gives Money to the Palestinians and North Koreans

Today the Obama administration unveiled what it promised would be the last "emergency," "supplemental" spending bill to cover the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The total of $83.4 billion is supposed to pay for the two wars for the rest of the fiscal year. But included within that $83.4 Billion is over $800 million for the West Bank and Gaza and $95 Million for North Korea and another $45 Million for Zimbabwe.

Maybe I'm missing something but didn't North Korea just launched a missile when we asked them not to? And if this is supposed to be a supplemental expenditure for the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars why is almost one billion of it going to the PA? Below are the pertinent parts of the President's request:

For an additional amount for "Migration and Refugee Assistance", $293,000,000, to remain available until expended. This proposal would provide $293 million for Migration and Refugee Assistance. The request includes: $108 million for basic social services to Iraqi refugees, internally displaced persons and conflict victims; $25 million for assistance to Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and $125 million to support emergency humanitarian needs in Gaza and the West Bank; $7 million to address humanitarian needs in South Asia, including Afghanistan and Pakistan; $15 million to address displacement and humanitarian needs related to violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo; $10 million to respond to food pipeline breaks in Africa; and $3 million to assist Burmese refugees.

For an additional amount for "International Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement", $389,500,000, to remain available until September 30, 2010. This proposal would provide $389.5 million for International Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement. The request includes: $20 million for judicial capacity building and police transition planning in Iraq; $65.5 million for Pakistan for stabilization operations and security sector reform; $129 million for Afghanistan for counter narcotics programs and to support Afghanistan's central and provincial justice institutions; $109 million to train and equip Palestinian security forces and to enhance security along the Gaza border; and $66 million for Mexico to combat drug trafficking and organized crime.

$556 million for West Bank/Gaza including $200 million for budget support to the Palestinian Authority; $93 million for institutional capacity building, and investments in education and social services in the West Bank; $12 million for humanitarian assistance in the West Bank; $60 million to promote West Bank economic growth; $30 million to support governance and rule of law in the West Bank; $95 million to support programs in Gaza to improve basic human needs, support economic recovery, create jobs, and restore some humanitarian essential services; $61 million for immediate humanitarian and food relief to Gazans through well-established international organizations; $5 million for contractor and locally engaged staff, program oversight, and related security and other support costs

$95 million to provide Heavy Fuel Oil or equivalent to North Korea to support the goals of the Six Party Talks and $45 million for Zimbabwe to re-establish and strengthen democratic institutions, provide social safety nets, ensure critical health interventions and support economic revitalization in the wake of contentious national elections; and $13 million for humanitarian assistance for Burma.

Do you feel bought off yet?

Ah, yes, and I think my favorite and grotesque (thanks, Griz - nice choice of words!) expenditure is the $45 million for Zimbabwe, a nation that we used to call Rhodesia. And at the time Rhodesia was not only self-sufficient from a food production standpoint, but it was a food exporter. Whites controlled the country, there was great financial stability, low unemployment, and general prosperity. But Black nationalists, later identified to be aided and abetted by the USSR, stirred things up, and the White government was soon replaced by locals, who proceeded to evict or kill the White farmers and ranchers, managed to destabilize the economy to the point of bankruptcy or worse, and starvation set in for many people. The Blacks who expropriated the White farms didn't have a clue as to how to manage the farm, how to operate the equipment properly, or anything related to an agrarian society. The thug Mugabwe has absolutely runied what was once a lovely outpost of sanity in a continent that is now awash with insanity, incompetence, corruption and genocide.

Default Amazing!!!

WOW!!! & Holy S--t!!!
No longer is this just: "Weirdsville USA",...let's instead call it: "DING-DONG Ruled USA"!

Granted, and since Muslim Born, Muslim Raised with 2 Sets of Muslim Grandparents & large extended Muslim Families (1 from birth Kenyan & 1 from stepfather Indonesian) Barack Hussein Obama II or Jr. would obviously lean more so towards pandering to Muslims than any others. Still, so pandering to EVEN SWORN ENEMIES with MY/YOUR/OUR Monies is about as despicably Dictatorially: "LooneyTunes" AS IT GETS. Doesn't America have needy Friends?

I personally don't believe that even the most fanatical of Muslim Mullahs would so: "Change" and/or so openly display such an obvious nationally-suicidal & enemy capitulating favoratism stupidity, and especially during wartime.

Damn,...not only do We Under Siege by Fanatical Islam Americans have to contend with Wacked-out Enemy Leaders,...We unfortunately have to contend with supposed: "Friendlies" and/or Quite Suspect of Intent America Under-mining Leaders right here at home. Such getting sicker & sicker every day that goes by, Folks.

Lest we forget...we have been giving North Korea grain for years that went straight to the Army.

We also gave untold billons of your tax dollars to Yassir Arafat, which he promptly looted.

Default Larry,...

I guess it more than fair saying that Our Political Rulers pissin-away vast sums of
MY/YOUR/OUR and/or U.S. Taxpayer Monies...is pretty-much A TIMELESS SAD REALITY.

Hope Government Fools don't run out of 100% Rag Paper & Ink,...until after we're dead?

Know such will be a bitch for children & grandchildren. But, maybe they might have better
luck with Our Royally Dictatorial Lords & Ladies, than We Have?

Hey,...perhaps either Trading Shells or Gold Standard will come back into vogue?
You never know?

State Department opposes funding cut to IAEA branch that financed Iran's nukes

The Washington Times reports that an arm of the International Atomic Energy Agency financed the development of Iran's nuclear program. But the US State Department opposes cutting funding to that arm fearing that it will 'offend developing states.' Hopenchange run rampant?
American taxpayers helped fund Iran's nuclear program over the past decade, and now the State Department "strongly opposes" diminishing the flow of U.S. money to the international agency that funneled the aid to Iran. The department fears - among other things - that doing so would "anger states in the developing world."

The offending organization is the International Atomic Energy Agency's Department of Technical Cooperation (TC), the mission of which is to help nations develop "peaceful" applications of nuclear technology. The State Department provides about 25 percent of the IAEA program's $80 million annual budget.

From 1997 through 2007, the Government Accountability Office said in a March 31 report, TC provided $55 million in aid to four nations - Iran, Syria, Sudan and Cuba - that the State Department lists as sponsors of terror.

TC assisted Iran's light-water nuclear reactor project at Bushehr. Its secretariat also initially approved assistance for Iran's heavy-water nuclear-reactor project at Arak, but the proposal was aborted later in the face of U.S. objections.

...

After investigating TC, the GAO said it was considering recommending that Congress require the State Department to cut funding to the organization in an amount proportional to the funding TC provides state sponsors of terror, including Iran.

In a written response to GAO, the department adamantly opposed the suggestion. All aid to TC "is fungible," the response said, "therefore, this proposed recommendation would not necessarily stop IAEA TC projects in the targeted countries but instead diminish overall [Technical Cooperation Fund] funding. By targeting the entire TCF, the U.S. will anger states in the developing world."
But don't worry, America. The country is in good hands. What could go wrong?
