Have you ever stopped for a moment to extricate your mind from the confines and limitations that we ourselves have place upon them? Hell, there are things out there that even (our so-called magnificent intellects) could never even imagine nor conceive - rendering us all but useless when it comes to our comprehension of what in the Hell is really going on all around us?

If we could take what we actually know about this universe that is dragging us along for a nearly free ride and then multiply it by what we really don’t know, then maybe we would truly be but babes in the woods of time infinitum! “In short, we are but legends within our own minds?” And the biggest fools of all are those who perceive themselves to be the masters of the known universe! “What idiots we mere mortals continue to be!”

And the greatest of all human fools are those who are content in swallowing the fallacy that: “In all of creation, we humans have been elevated above and beyond even the creator of all things himself?”

But then, if mankind must ever be remembered for any one particular thing, it must surely be his illusion that he alone and that he is in absolute control? And whether or not we ever buy into the idea that we are alone or that we truly are in the catbird seat, it will never really change the true order of our universe! Because if mankind is genuinely this omnipotent creature (or not) - it is never going to change one damned thing in the end (opinion)?

It is (again in my opinion) the duty and the destiny of mankind to proceed along as if he were truly alone, for all intent and purpose! For if he is truly in solitude amidst the ebon desolation of outer space and after all is said and done, he can not even seem to control what is happening right here within his own backyard, let alone what may be transpiring but a few short light years away – and that is a fact as well? For we are but babes in the woods of time and space!

“Now let us take humanity truly out of the equation” and envision our planet as just our celestial home and our race just for what we really are!”

Are we not but flesh and blood and are we not but creatures that are being held as captives of time and of space? And if but a single element of our precarious existence ever goes awry (such as our atmosphere), just how long could we possibly exist or is this just a thought that humanity has sought to toss into his subconscious mind, in the hope that we are (as we might like to believe), truly eternal and lacking in wars, diseases and even strife - not to mention all of those yet unseen hazards that our race has no comprehension nor even scientifically verified knowledge of, as yet?

“Babes in the Woods Indeed” and only time itself will determine whether we will ever learn how to control the insane nature of our own id or whether it will eventually decimate us all? And no, this is not merely another outlandish theory on the direction or even the destination and future of our own race of beings? But rather, maybe just maybe, it is an indisputable segment of our very own futures and heritage that is yet to be lived, written or even accepted by we creatures of habit, our much enduring faith and even our over-abundance of (often distorted) science fiction doggerel - thrown in for good measure? “Who can genuinely say for sure?”

You're right on as usual. Society is its own worst enemy (at this time).
Future - Aliens - two topics of which we've yet to be exposed to.

Is there life outside of our universe? I'd be hard pressed to say no.
Until we actually know - its speculative - and if so, they may not
be anything like us - I would presume.

All Science Fiction - until proven. There are many universes all so far
apart that - just maybe there is some form of living lfie - but beings
I speculate the odds of knowing this will be tens of thousand of
years from now.

We are alone until it happens. Therefore, if we destroy our planet
like we are doing - we had better have a game plan for living in
space for quite some time. Generations will be born into space.

They may not look like us let's say a million years or so. We may
end up sterilizing our planet by wars before long anyway.

If there were lifeforms in the past - and then they left - we don't
know how long it took for them to find us - let alone going
back home to where they came from.

I speculate our planetary opps will be far and few between.
Going to the Moon or Mars - then what? Until we actually
know - we are guessing. We are waring folk - so why come
here and be sterilized our planet - or if only take it over with
their families. Or our atmosphere may not be suitable for them
so maybe they will just bypass us.

The only thing I foresee is long term space exploration
for a millennia - before they find any earth like planets and
who's to say they would entertain Earthlings?

The Future is for dreamers - but they have a long way to
go - before them. Who knows we may kill our planet and
thereby making it sterile. Or we may get hit by a giant
meteor and/or our environment gets so polluted that
we have to move underground.

So my conclusion is we may find a similar planet - but it
may take generations to get there - and we may find it
already inhabited or have hostile elements?

SciFi lets you pick and choose what you may suspect or
hope to find. Imagination's are just that. By the time
they do find a suitable planet the Earth may already
be destroyed by a comet or a moon?

Dream on dreamer's - is all I can say. The reality is
for the future the rest is imaginations running rampid.
