‘Big one is coming': Chilling warning about US military's lack of preparedness from top official

As war rages in Ukraine and China continues to develop its nuclear capabilities, some military officials are warning the United States is unprepared to be dragged into warfare.

The warnings come after it was reported in October that America's military had become weaker over the last several years and is at risk of not being able to respond to outside threats.

The Heritage Foundation, in its 2023 Index of U.S. Military Strength, noted that the military is “weak” and that it was “at growing risk of not being able to meet the demands of defending America’s vital national interests” — marking the first time in the index’s nine-year history that the country has been rated so low.

“This Ukraine crisis that we’re in right now, this is just the warm-up,” said Navy Adm. Charles Richard, the commander of U.S. Strategic Command, according to the Wall Street Journal. “The big one is coming. And it isn’t going to be very long before we’re going to get tested in ways that we haven’t been tested [in] a long time.”

Just last year, China launched a hypersonic missile that was able to travel around the world and land back at home — taking the U.S. by surprise. The revelation had made clear that America was falling behind, raising questions “about how we are going to mitigate our assumed eventual failure,” Richard said.

He also said: “As I assess our level of deterrence against China, the ship is slowly sinking. It is sinking slowly, but it is sinking, as fundamentally they are putting capability in the field faster than we are. [It won’t] matter how good our commanders are or how good our horses are — we’re not going to have enough of them. And that is a very near-term problem."

Richard noted the U.S. continues to have an advantage with its submarines, but even that may decrease in the coming years if the country doesn’t begin addressing its maintenance problems and necessary construction.

The report from the Heritage Foundation indicated that the country’s nuclear capabilities, compared to other countries, are “strong” but trending toward “marginal” or even “weak.” That means the U.S. nuclear arsenal could be considered strong but will continue trending downward as other countries grow in strength.

Personal note: It seems things are stacking up of late. Operations are such that
it seems inevitable that a war will break out soon in the very near future.
-
Are we ready?
-
The drama of such would surely be useless to all parties - as the exchange
will cripple all Nations involved. The mindset is already to go at any moment
- eye's in the sky will see the first exchange to its primary targets. The next
exchange will be against the aggressor to which will be three fold and continuous
causing devastation the like's we've never seen before in our history.
-
Once the shots are fired - it's too late to put out the fire. This is a warning to
the aggressor of the retaliation that will follow. Hence what once was will be
no more. The death of many will be devastating to say the least.
-
Mankind "is truly his own worst enemy" - and until he learns that - it's
a lesson to live with.
-
The aggressor will suffer three fold and all those who fire upon others will
retaliate in kind - as best they can - sharing the devastation to the
aggressor's. Within a matter of minutes the world will become something
less than it once was. Excessive damage and death will be counted in the
millions. Contamination will kill the living that remains.
-
So; it's finally here - and a world on fire - with masses of death & destruction
- what an epitaph to write about mankind's last gasp.
-
What ever each side had before the war - let's say 70-85% will be destroyed
in the exchanges - millions will die and more to follow after the exchange.
Contamination will circumvent in the atmosphere killing millions more and
the innocents around the globe.
-
Well you got your wish - when you come out of you're bunker's there will be
little left of what you once had. But - You finally did it - now live with it!
