Went to the Dr yesterday and will have more graf surgery this month , only this time on my palm and fingers. Yep , the skin is coming from the other side of my groin this time which means I'll have pubs growing on my palm. My father told me this was going to happen if I didn't quit doing certain things and I guess he was right. Wonder if I'll have to shave it ? Scouts Out !

While stationed at Norton AFB, I was on my way to the flightline but had to stop to pick up a team member whose car had broken down. When I arrived at his apartment his wife told me he was in the can, shaving. I went in to hustle him along and he said he had one more thing to do, and he started to apply shaving cream to the palm of his right hand!:cd: I asked him what the hell he was doing and showed me the palm and there were three even, curved rows of growing hair. When he was a kid he put his hand down on a still hot burner of an electric stove and they had to graft skin from his thigh onto his palm resulting in the growing hair.

I got an idea and told him not to shave it. When we got to the base I told him and a few others of my plan to pull a trick on this naive kid from Kansas. Later, during our shift, we were in the base terminal coffee shop and we began a conversation involving stories of self-abuse, one of which was that over-indulgence would make hair grow on your palm. The Kansas kid just laughed saying that even he wasn't so stupid as to believe that old wives tale. Then I called the other guy over and told him to show Kansas his palm, he did so and "confessed" as to how it was a 3-times-a-day habit for him before he got married. The look on the Kansas kid's face was priceless! He just walked off muttering to himself and looking at his own hand.

Does this mean you'll have to wear jock straps on your hands now when riding your bike instead of gloves?? You REALLY WILL look like "Popeye" now with one forearm and your hands swelling up, huh?

Hey John you can wash your car and not use a rag! Now that is practical advice.
You won't need to wear a glove on that hand.

You can tell your grandchildren weird stories about how it happened. (Not the traditional one.)
