Reeb, you been nibbling on left-over bait? That stuff's gotta be bad by now. Personally, I don't think JFK had a clue - it was all image for him. Remember his stance on the so-called "missile gap"? LBJ thought he should win, could win, but only he could do it (with a little help from MacNamoron), but that micromanagement thing filtered down - how do you pick targets and set operation goals from half a day away?
