We have a Fletcher class destroyer (USS Kidd) in Baton Rouge that is part of a museum. A reunion was recently held there for crew members of another Fletcher class destroyer; the USS Foote. The Foote was hit by a torpedo. It lost 55 feet off of its fantail and lived to tell the tale! I think that's amazing.
