Post Department of Military Correctness: Murtha's Award

In yet another mind-boggling illustration that much of the upper echelon of American leadership, even some military leadership, is totally detached from reality, the United States Navy has given Rep. "Fightin'" John Murtha (D-PA) its Distinguished Public Service Award, the highest public service recognition given to a non-employee by the Department of the Navy. This would be the same John Murtha who, in May 2006, slandered U.S. Marines by accusing them of war crimes, saying they were nothing but "cold-blooded killers" who "murdered innocent civilians."

The Navy's perverse citation says that Murtha "ensured" that the America's sailors and Marines "were provided the resources necessary to effectively conduct the global war on terrorism." Words fail us in trying to describe the juxtaposition of Murtha's award with his actions in the real world.

Needless to say, there are plenty of folks who are displeased with the Navy's actions. The director of the Vets For Freedom Educational Institute, Gabe Ledeen, who is also a Marine veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, has posted a "Don't Honor John Murtha" petition online, rightly saying that Murtha is unworthy of such an award. The petition calls on Murtha to "apologize for slandering the Marines ... and for undermining the efforts of those servicemen and women who fought in Iraq," pointing out that Murtha "has routinely and deliberately undermined the United States military, slandered servicemen serving in combat, and caused irreparable damage to our international reputation." If Murtha doesn't apologize, the award should be rescinded. Perhaps those in the Navy responsible for this decision should also apologize for giving a lying, treasonous coward one of its highest awards.

Default Griz,...

Never mind random Drug Testing & Psch Evalutions for Enlisted Navy Personnel.
Apparently same much more so needed for High Ranking Navy Brass, INSTEAD.

Given The Current Absurdity,...maybe some Navy Brass should also be investigated for having
standardly capitulating & enemy encouraging Democrat Political Party Ties & Allegiances, ALSO?

Obviously and since such Navy Brass normally expected fighting US, such testings, evaluations
& even investigations most certainly couldn't hurt. Quite the opposite of Navy hurtful would
be so.

If for-a-change Navy ACTUALLY were ordered Sensibly Destroying & Defeating an Enemy
before they Destroyed or Defeated US (both ways),...maybe all conflicts wouldn't just normally
last into infinity, AS USUAL?

North Korea certainly wouldn't be So Great A Threat,...as was PC Permitted being Today.

Kindly allow me to properly interpret the most recent absurdity of the US Squid Force, an act that is repugnant on its face to us outsiders. And with such cogent explanation, the actions of the Squids will be come increasingly clear:

While yet announced to the general public, the US Navy wants a new weapons system that has not yet been wedged into any current or projected budget. The ultimate development and fielding of this system will provide a very nice second income for some senior Squid, when he retires. But to get this new weapons system in line for budgetary approval, the project manager needs to suck up to Lard Ass Murtha, who has a big sway on military spending matters. Murtha gets his fat-ass ego stroked by the Squid suck-up, and the Squid suck-up eventually gets his project funded and approved.

Now, is that clear?

There it is; the Murtha rehab project and more band aids on the septic and oozing band aid ball. This caper has the texture and aroma of some goat and donkey dump stew. On the other hand, this particular squid is focusing on touring with the pretty girls. The old Spanish Fort Santiago in Manila has a strong aroma about it, but I fear the bubbling goat and donkey dump stew is wafting on the Pacific breeze and soon will overcome honest but strong aromas from long ago.
