Thumbs up REF: HR 2369 (109th Congress)

REF.: HR 2369 (109th Congress)

Dear Congressperson or Senator;

I am sorry to be so redundant, but the nature, scope and national responsibility behind this long overdue legislation screams out from beyond the grave!

The true American Heroes that this Bill (Honoring our Fallen Prisoners of War Act) would recognize can no longer speak for themselves. It is therefore for us, each and every one, to champion their memory! ?Would they do any less for us??

This is not a partisan issue, and politics or agenda have no place in it! It is a matter of ?True Americanism?, and regardless of our political or personal feelings, these were our brothers, and but for the grace of God, we too could be in their place!

Only a heartless and unfeeling creature could possibly feel that paying this small, last honor (a posthumous Purple Heart) to our fallen comrades was not in order? As such, I again implore you all to put aside any political differences for a moment and embrace an issue that transcends personal political feelings! Let our voices echo forth in unity that ?We Shall Never Forget!?

-------------------------------------------------
P.S. - And for the record (something for all veterans and patriots to keep in mind come next election time), in the past two (prior) mailings to Congress on this matter, especially the last, we mailed "ALL" 100 Senators and many Congressmen seeking their support for this measure. We received about 12 (automated) responses back (this included from both California Senators and the President as well), and absolutely none (save for the Congressman who introduced the Bill and a thoughtful friend or two of his withins Congress!!

The response from the one U.S. Senator from California said that "She would take it under consideration when it came before the Senate!"

Those who fought and died, both in combat, from disease and accidents, and those who expired in POW Camps, did not stop and consider whether they wanted to serve - they saw their duty and they did it, and for a helluva lot less money than is gifted to the members of government who sent them a greeting letter!

"And so it is to this point!!"

--------------------------------------------------------
Please copy this letter, sign it and send it forth on the wings of honor, to each and every Congressman, Congresswoman and Senator in our great nation! Please do it today, as not only the honor of our fallen heroes is at stake, but also the honor of our Country and ourselves!

?It is time for us to prove that we were worth these patriot?s sacrifices!!?

VERITAS (Truth)

Respectfully,
