1938 Deja vu?

If we were to turn back the pages of history to 1938 or so in Germany, we would find that there was the professional German Army, the Wertmacht, and there was a parallel organization that had even greater authority, the SS. This latter group was composed of political appointees, people totally inexperienced in military matters, sexual perverts, and other miscreants. History proves that they became the scourge of Germany and the entire world, being responsible for some of the worst crimes against humanity, including the Holocaust. Their political power was used to circumvent any legitimate military order, when necessary to accomplish their illegal end. Several plots to kill Hitler, and to re-establish the rightful authority of the German Army were thwarted by the SS. WWII may not have even had the German participation but for the influence and corruption of the SS.

And what does The Bastard propose? A 'civilian security force'? Can you spell 'police'? Don't all states and most populated areas already have police forces? Why do we even need a 'national civilian security force' unless it is to provide some muscle to enforce some illegitimate policy or totally unwarranted action? Is this more empty campaign rhetoric, or a thinly veiled threat to more of our freedoms? Just as was warned by other thinking people, The Bastard wants the government to be bigger and bigger, which means taking more of our dollars to pay for it, and to further aggragate power in the hands of the few. Be afraid people, be very afraid.

America deserves better.

With all the reporters covering the major presidential candidates, it amazes me no one ever seems to ask the right questions.

For several days now, WND has been hounding Barack Obama's campaign about a statement he made July 2 in Colorado Springs – a statement that blew my mind, one that has had me scratching my head ever since.
