Default He has risen

Tina , Happy Easter to you and yours and Happy Easter to all

Jesus is Risen!

And very early in the morning, the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. (Mark 16:2-7)

As I recall, all of the Gospels indicated that Jesus appeared first to the women, since the men were apparently still in hiding, with the notable exception of John, the only disciple present at the Crucifixion. Kinda keeps us guys humble, don't you think!

Blessings of the Risen Lord to one and all.

Thumbs up Happy Easter: Time for a sermon.

The Key Words to understanding Easter (Resurrection Sunday) is MIRACLE and SOVEREIGN.
Whatever we believe is impossible is possible with God. God isn't maintained within our boundaries and our philosophies and our theologies, he is God and he is sovereign.
The other thing we must note about the Resurrection is that God does things His way and not necessarily our way, He is sovereign. So often we as human want to dictate to God. Yet, we don't have a clue to what is really going on.
Its like a bunch of reporters reporting on some sort of major incident, much of the time they don't have a clue to the inner workings of whatever they are reporting on yet they believe they know exactly what happened, or its like the young person who just graduated from college and believes he is prepared to run the corporation, yet he really doesn't have a clue to the inner workings of a corporation. People may have a vague idea of what is going on but their knowledge is so limited they don't truly understand what is going on. Paul the Apostle put it this way: "Now we see through a glass darkly, but then we shall see face to face." God is sovereign, He knows all, He knows what is best for us, His timing is perfect in all things.
When Jesus died upon a cross it looked like the dream of a Messiah, a redeemer of mankind had come to end. But then came the Morning and the stone had been rolled away. Jesus had conquered death, hell, and the grave. Proving that He was the God of miracles, the Master of the Universe the Sovereign Lord.
Now how do we apply all this knowledge to our lives.
1. Jesus is still capable of miracles today.
2. Jesus loved us so much He was willing to suffer and die for us.
3. Jesus wants to do a miracle in your life.
4. Jesus is Sovereign = the boss. He will perform miracles in your life when you need them and His timing is always the best.

Allow God to work miracles in your life, He will do great things, more than you could ever expect. God loves you so very much.

Have a great Easter.

Keith

Brice, yep it was a couple of ladies that first met Jesus after he arose and here is a neat web site with a great flash video of the miracle of Easter http://www.gieson.com/Library/projec...sen/index.html

Preach it brother! The power that raised Jesus from the dead is still at work in our world today.
