Our #2 son's redeployment
CPT Andrew is leaving tomorrow 0400 +/- several hours, in the finest tradition of the Army's infamous "hurry up and wait" process. HIs unit, part of the 1st Cav contingent, will enjoy a two-week vacation in Kuwait, get re-equipped, and then back into the sand box.

Brice,
I will say a prayer for Andrew and his comrades. This will be the third deployment for some of the members of the 1st Cav. Is Andrew one of those First Teamers on his 3rd visit to the SB?

Actually, Andrew is on his second tour. 1st Cav on both.
Son #1, MAJ Gregory, is still in Bosnia, at the NATO hq, doing J2 duties. He's a Panama "Operation Just Cause" airborne, Ranger, CIB, snake-eater veteran. Needless to say, we're proud of them both!

Brice, Thank Andrew for his service and we wish him well on his deployment.Prayers out for him and all the deployed
 I Had a few friends in Panama during Operation Just Cause ,My unit was deployed to Kelly AFB refueling and servicing C-5's and C-141's for Operation Just Cause. I remember one night seeing the MOST money ever in one place a C-5 aircraft with Pallets full of UNCUT 100 dollar bills a foot or so high! The Marine Guard said we could look all we wanted but couldn't touch them  That was an interesting nite.

And as a matter of fact, I have a new Brit son-in-law! He and his bride, my daughter, are due to leave Afghanistan soon, heading back to the States. Getting rather difficult to keep up with all our chillens!
