If I'm right (occaisionally happens), Beau is reminding us that the bro covering our 6 way back when wore the same uniform, wanted to go home too, and wanted a real life in the real world. Differences (guaranteed by the Constitution) were just a "you and me" thing. If we can talk " to" as opposed to "at" each other, maybe we can avoid a firefight here.
