Check this out, found it by total accident... seeking info for one of my sons re-enacting 82nd 505th at Fort Ord.

9th ID logo on one side and the same sentiment on the other. In my case it may have been more wishful thinking than fact.

Glad to see 2-47th represented. Wish I hadn't lost mine.

Ok, time to make you guys feel your age. I have my father's zippo, it has C 6/27 FA on one side and my mother's, sister's and brother's name on the other. I was born 10 months after he came home!

Did I forget to show you my 585th trans zippo when you were over? It says Vietnam 1968 on one side and Phu Tie on the other. Our CO gave them to people as they ended their tour. [Of the 30 guys from our company weve found, I'm the only one who still has one.]

Had 2 really nice Zippo's. One, just like the B Co 2/8 on that site only it was C.Co. Gift from the Cav when I left. Had another, a gift from the 38th Reg, 9th Korean Inf Div. Both were stolen in bars when I went to the bathroom and left them on my cigs on the bar back here in the states. Would have loved to find what miserable bastard stole them, and what they're doing with them now. We beat the shit out of a guy flashing a Big Red One Zippo w/ a CIB on it at one club when it turned out he was never in the service. We sent the lighter to Ft Riley for their museum.
