Dick Durbin: Consult with Mexico on Border Fence

An amendment slipped into the Senate bill at the last minute by Sen. Chris Dodd mandates consultations with Mexican officials before any fence construction begins.
It reads:

"CONSULTATION REQUIREMENT -- Consultations between United States and Mexican authorities at the federal, state, and local levels concerning the construction of additional fencing and related border security structures along the United States-Mexico border shall be undertaken prior to commencing any new construction, in order to solicit the views of affected communities, lessen tensions and foster greater understanding and stronger cooperation on this and other important issues of mutual concern."

Once again, we are beset with a situation involving Turban Durbin, where one has to question his sanity, his motives, and ultimately, his allegiance. In the first situation, where he likened our warriors at Gitmo with the henchmen of Pol Pot, Hitler, and other despots, he felt the 200 mph windsheer of objections, and later made some crocodile-tear non-apology. Now here he is again, demanding that our government play kissy-kissy with the thugs of the Mexican government before we build a fence. Why? What has the Mexican government done for us later?

Screw 'em. Build the fence, install periodic anti-lift devices on the fence posts, aka booby traps, and gently inform Senor Fox to go fox himself.

And then remind Turban Durbin that he should start thinking and acting like an American, instead of like some boot-licking internationalist.

Absolutely delighted that my two US Senators voted against this travesty of legislation.

lately, are the daily realities that theoretically grownup (?)
leaders, rulers or whatever of The U.S. Congress NORMALLY
discuss and debate such,...RATHER THAN MUCH MORE WISELY

are and have been FORCED doing by stupid politicians
regarding many absolute absurdities,...& FOR QUITE SOME TIME!!!

Wouldn't it be better if: "We The (Schnooks)" FORCED our glorious
and all-knowing political leaders, rulers, dictators or whatever
to: "Deal with it",...FOR-A-CHANGE???!!!

Hell,...isn't such exactly why We Pay Them,...in the first place?
Sure The Pompous Ones would have to come down from

Me Thinks MUCH Public Outrage is definitely in order before too
late,...and especially during wartime Fellow Patriots.

Besides, mass sensible and logical anti-Politics Protests
for-a-change might actually help America get back on that right,

Maybe Durbin is a bit mixed up. Mexican expertise is in the field of tunnel digging, not fence building. And I?m sure they are quite happy to continue with their tunnel projects and it?s unlikely they will be requesting US cooperation.
One day I expect that the Tijuana border area will just fall in on it?s self, must be a virtual rabbit warren under there.
