Exclamation How Soon They Forget!

That ?Government of, by, and for the people?, has all but faded into oblivion, in my opinion!

Granted, as of this point in time, there are still those who have not forgotten that we all sprung from common roots and will eventually all end up feeding the same worms. It is, however, what we do between birth and death that dictates if we will appear in good stead within the ?Book of Life!?

So what is it with some human trash (no matter how highly placed)? The Me-ists who forever strive to dominate instead of donate, to cause human grief instead of seeking cures to most human ills?

For that matter, what makes a man (or a woman) seek absolute power, fantastic wealth, and total control over their peers, rather than attempting to better the united human lot during their brief stay upon this planet?

Most of all, why do most people forget that they all part of the same delicate race of beings? We all bleed, we all suffer, we are all susceptible to the same diseases and ills, we all die, and eventually, we all have to stand tall before the Man!

And yet, there will always be those pathetic cusses who, through lies, deception, betrayal and crime (even the legalized variety) attempt to drag their fellow men through the sewers and back alleys of despair!! ?Again, How Soon They Forget!?

After watching the deluge of programs that have recently saturated the airways after the recent, violent earthquakes and deadly tsunamis that ravished the Sumatra and Java area, I came to the realization that life (all of our lives) are at the mercy of forces that are totally out of our control! If it isn?t tidal waves, mega quakes, hurricanes, tornados, diseases, wars and famine that have us at their mercy, it is the deadly asteroid belt or forces that we don?t even know about!

?All of that careening rock that circles us in space, will eventually do us in, as it has in the past! There are more that a few chunks of space debris, after all, with the potential to take us out in a heartbeat!?

Have you ever stopped to wonder (even for a moment) what would happen if yet another chunk of space rock, similar to the one that obliterated the dinosaurs (mass extinction) was to slam into this planet at great speed again? It would be curtains for life on Earth, especially mankind! And more?s the shame, for the cosmos would not even know (nor would it care) that we ever existed! ?We are, after all, mighty in but our own minds!?

So here we sit, precariously balanced upon an insignificant speck of dust that is floating aimlessly in the unimaginable huge void of space! And yet, we are firmly convinced of our god-like status and total invulnerability? We are the masters, after all, of all that exists, and yet, we can not even prevent the inevitable!

Until that time comes (if ever) when we learn that we really are not all that great after all, and get down to the real business of life as it was meant to be, we may indeed be living upon borrowed time, and that time could very well be growing short indeed! (Who Knows?)

?WHAT FOOLS WE MORTALS BE!?

Default The End

If the End comes, We die. The end. Going through life worring about something like that is not worth the thought for me. The solar system goes on and so does the Universe, we just die.
