Idle Words Alone

Words alone can hardly seem to cut it anymore, as words are suppose to denote truth and truth is suppose to relate purity and purity these days hardly exists, save for the erroneous usage of the word truth itself! And what, pray-tell can be banked-upon within any person’s word?” Or do you automatically assume that the data that issues-forth from any person’s tongue is beneficial to the overall well-being and health of humanity itself “And Would That This Were Truly So!?”

Actually, the spoken word means virtually nothing these days, if in effect, it is not encompassed within honesty and truth, for many of those in whom we entrust even our survival as a species itself, only say what they think we want to hear or even what is beneficial to themselves alone! “And within that chasm of lies, only resides a sham, along with great portions of the world of humanity itself!” For mankind was created to function primarily upon truth, and to exist only within the warmth of its strong and loving grasp! And outside of that strong and muscular grasp, resides a world that sometimes exists only for the benefit of pure evil itself - a wasteland of despair, confusion, and pestilence alone and one in which mankind is often the target of those who exist only to prey upon the weak and the foolhardy – and so, unfortunately, it so often is!

And yes indeed, ‘Edgar Allan Poe’, who departed this worldly plain at the tender age of forty yet lives, if but in spirit, words, and essence alone! For as dark and often gloomy as his prose may seem to some these days, portions of his sentiments may (in part) be eternal! And who knows, or who can even ponder with all certainty, what “The Illustrious Mr. Poe” might have had in mind when he penned such works such as “The Raven?” For the words, ideas and thoughts of any human being, may indeed outlive even their own mortal coil itself and no man is truly but an island that is adrift upon a vast and endless “Sea of Sargasso?”
