finally a Vietnam trucker wanabe

Most wanabes I knew were llrps, Special Forces, airborne or seals but there is a guy on the ATAV site who has been posting for months. He says he was a trucker in the area I was at in Phu Bie on
Route One. He always complain's about how he was medavacted out and he has PTSD but couldn't prove it because the Army lost his records and no one will help him. He can't remember his unit but he drove route One every day. In the last post I just read, he talks about hauling ice to the 101st so that they could keep there amunition cool. [nothin worse then hot amunition.]

Sure got cushey after the rest of the division got over there . Hell, we couldn't even get cold beer or sodas brought out to us. Sometimes the "hot" meals that they sent out to us once in awhile showed up cold, though. We would sometimes steal the CO2 fire extinguishers off of the supply choppers to cool down the beer and sodas until armed crew chiefs started guarding them . The ice must have been for the REMF's.

Bust this guys balls, Steve. Or better yet, invite him over here so we can ALL bust his balls .

I can read the posts on the www.atav.us site but haven't been able to figure out how to post myself there. This mike benoit has been posting and wining on there for months. [We all know truckers don't wine.] Jim Rose who is the president of the atav has been trying to help this guy. I told Jim at the reunion last week that he has been too nice to this guy because he is a fraud. I emailed Jim about the ice for the amo last night and told him to get this guy off the sight.
