“Don’t do as I do, rather you had damned-well better do as I say” is fast becoming the order of the day!

I hear a great deal of chatter these days about everybody chipping in to benefit the economy, however in far too many cases, those who are pushing this demand the hardest are those who are chastising the poor dumb slob who occasionally takes his family out for a cheap hamburger at a fast food restaurant! Granted, there are many things that need improvement, but to just sit there, high within an ivory tower, shouting orders at the destitute, the hard-pressed middle class, or anyone else who is having trouble even feeding their families, is damned callous!

There is an old saying that goes: “Never criticize the other guy until you have walked a mile in his worn-out shoes!” And yet another that suggests that: “Those who scream the loudest, -seldom lead by example!”

In short, damned few people here within “The United States” begrudge any individual who has made it big! As a matter of fact, we usually admire a successful person in most any fields of endeavor! It is rather the jerk who belittles the little fellow and demands that he (or she) give until it hurts, while they belch out the excess gas that has been built-up from last night’s sumptuous pig-out!

“Do you remember the fabulously rich law-maker (some years ago) who remarked that the average chap didn’t need to buy high-priced gasoline as he had no place to go anyway?”
In short again, live and let live! We can’t all make it big in business, or win a multi-million dollar lottery! We can however, remember what it was like to bust our backs, obey the law, respect all life, and to give our best at all times – and no more can be expected of any person!
