Default earthquakes

Tonight on the history channel (Tue.)there is a show on Mega disasters. There going to talk about the 1811-1812 earthquake in MO.
Which , by the way, is the mightiest earthquake in the continental United States, 10 times bigger than the 1906 SF earthquake.
This quake was so bad it lasted from December 1811 to Jan 1812 almost 30 days the ground shook.
You get a chance to see it, take it, some real history.

When the New Madrid Earth quake finished the State of Illinoise lost some acreage to Missouri when the Mississippi River Changed it's course and went west and Missouri was the receipant of some valuable River bottom land Thats the one problem of making boundry lines Rivers. They change routes sometimes!

JD
If the Mississipi went more west that would give Illinois more land.
