Project help :)
Hello. I am doing a project on military communication technology, and was wondering if you had any resources or information that could be helpful.
I am basically doing it from the ww1. ww2, veitnam and cold war, and present 1999-2009 ( so a pretty big timeline) and have subtopics with radio, signaling, and codes. Do you have any thing that could help make this topic easier? If so, I need to know what kind of background, or how you know the information? Sorry, and thanks !! > > Smartijo.. |

Clandestine radios
Try this site: http://militaryradio.com/spyradio/
For some of you FOGs this is the rock we FNGs crawled out from under. This site traces radio communications equipment used by the OSS and Special Forces throughout time. I was a Special Forces Radio Supervisor for 15 years. In my day our primary medium was CW (morse code). We operated around the world on less than 15 watts output. Antennas and radio wave propagation were our best tools. Also go to Professional Soldiers.com register and pick the brains of the 18E's. They have a special board. Nothing classified will be discussed or divulged. That's another rock I sometimes seek refuge under.
