Insurance.. Red Tape
I've about had it with car insurance! Again I find myself looking for a cheaper policy. Things were find until a short while ago.
I have a 1968 VW Bug, all stock no modifications, in fact I am the second owner of this car. I use the car mainly for car shows and a Sunday drive now and then. I put less than two hundred miles a year on this car!
I had been with an antique insurance car firm, Taylor. They treated me very well and the premium was fair. About $189 a year in total. I had to meet certain requirements, keep the mileage low, keep the car in a garage, and keep the registration in effect. None of those were a problem.
Well Taylor has merged with some lager insurance firm. I was sent notice of this fact after I payed my yearly premium! Now the new company wants to charge me more than double for the same policy! Needless to say I'm in the market for a new insurance company.
Some days it just doesn't pay to open the mail!
