Default most likely it's Army or Marines

BN is battalion, so that eliminates Air force and Navy.

I was assigned at Ft. Lee (Army) to an HHC which was HEADQUARTERS and HEADQUARTERS COMPANY.

My guess would be HEADQUARTERS and HEADQUARTERS (?) COMPANY, 101st MECHANIZED INFANTRY BATTALION.

Is this all of the address, Mel?

Mel,
HHOC means Headquarters, Headquarters and Operations Company. The 101 I'm not sure about, but the MI BN means Military Intelligence Battalion.

Mel,
I found that the 101 is just the number of the Battalion and they are a part of the 1st Infantry Division. The 101 has nothing to do with the 101st Airborne.

APO = Army Post Office
The rest is like a zip code
