Man, those are high prices. Down here in Mexico it just isn't something we think too much about, as it is Federaly run and prices fixed. The price at the pump 3 days ago was 6.83 pesos per liter. That all computes out at current dollar exchage to roughly 2.46 per Gal. When I got here over a year ago it was pretty stable at 5.8 pesos per liter. Bad part is, sometimes it is so bad you couldn't lite it with a blow torch.
Saludos

Its good to see the prices elsewhere are drawing close though finally. When I was in Louisiana 2 weeks ago it was $1.58/gal and everybody was complaining like I don't know. $1.58 per gallon?? Those were the good old days for us, like from the days Before Bush. James

James,
Turning back a few cogs during the old days (mid-50's) gas was 23 cents a gallon and bulk oil was 15 cents a quart. I know I had an old beater that when I pulled in I'd fill the oil and check the gas. Now those were the days.
