Default Jriley,

Get Real,...or at least original.
Heard same basic perpetual campaigning or typical ridiculing and thus marginalizing of any and all opposing: "Democrat/Socialist/Leftist Political Supremacist Rulers posing as Liberals",...quite echoingly by both career-Dems & Press for at least a decade or more.

Besides, aren't there obviously just as many: "Angry (Left-Wing) Bubbas" anyway?
Hell,...even while now in Total Dictatorial Control of America, many Dems still remain quite adamently angry & vindictive. In fact a new phrase should be coined for all Democrat Winners. "Sore WINNERS" would be quite accurate. Don't you think?

On that: "Hate commentary masked as news", please be specific. None should believe that the relaying of truths about: "The Corrupt Democrat Chicago Political Machine (plus ACORN) NOW gone both National & International", should be construed as any: "Hate Speech" whatsoever.

Truths & Realities are just that, no matter how you or any others prefer changing such.

Still, one must admit that the words of: "His Barackness" himself as documented on the following YouTube site might warrantedly arouse some hatred from many Freedom & Liberty Loving Americans.

http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=tCAffMSWSzY#t=28

Old ways are just hard to give up.
Plus, Most Americans in general typically frown upon any type of Lordly Tyranical Rule, anyway.

JR, I appreciate your point of view but today politics and military history go hand and hand. We sit back and see arguably, the most powerful man on earth, our president who has never served in the military, command that military in what to do and those of us that have been shot at, once upon a time, take objection to our presidents stand on two wars where the defenders of your and my freedoms against an enemy that has declared Jihad, a holy war against us that commands the victor of that war to take every possession of the defeated as their own.
We are represented by a majority political party that takes our countries G.D.P., "GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT" (meaning the value of everything on every cubic inch of this nation) and owe the value of 80% of that G.D.P. in debt in only 10 years. Who in the world are we going to owe 80% of America to and what are we going to give up when we can't pay that bill?
2nd BTW, the most potent drink I've had in 15 years was black, no cream, no sugar Folgers to quench my physical thirst and the Communion Wine that the good Pastor has given me on Sunday to wash me.
2nd BTW, once upon a time I was also known as Sp4 Little John, RA15-740-586, A.P.O San-Francisco 96238.

Well shucks!! Mebbe I'm a Bubba after all.
I drink perhaps a six pack spread throughout the year - New Years, birthday etc.
I don't have no pickemup truck with a shotgun in the back window though.
But I live in South Carolina,
I eat grits,
I fly a flag 24/7 ,
served 15 years in Special Forces (SFC E-7),
and finally I consider myself loyal to the constitution.

If that makes me a Bubba I'm glad to be one.

"Besides, aren't there obviously just as many: "Angry (Left-Wing) Bubbas" anyway?"
You are right, reconeil!

I never said that there weren't a lot of angry left-wing loony's (aka:bubbas) out there that also spew hate. Bush/Cheney/Iraq blew a lot of lefty fuses and Gallop polls indicate that a lot of Repub's associate themselves now as Independent. I am saying that this Political Debate forum has been dominated by a couple of angry hard-right-wingers with a definite agenda - using it as their personal blog. Until David turned it off, those rants were being scrolled constantly on the home page of a website that is partnered with Library of Congress. If it were left-wing, looney, hate, bubba commentary, I'd be making the same point. If this were a website sponsored by Fox, MSNBC or a political blog, I'd have no reason to bitch because it's expected there.

Whale made the comment early in this thread "Military personal tend to be conservative by nature." Until a few years ago, I would have agreed. Before the last presidential election, the below article in American Conservative (no liberal bias there!) caught my attention:

"For one, as of August, Barack Obama was clobbering John McCain in donations from active duty military — in fact, men and women serving abroad gave Obama nearly six times more than his opponent, according to the Center for Responsive Politics."

(website wouldn't let me post a full url until I've made 15 posts? Copy and remove spaces below)
www . amconmag . com/blog/2008/11/04/the-shifting-military-vote/

McCain still carried the military vote but the margins where much tighter than the past. It seems that the political views of the military are getting just as mixed as the general population. Maybe backlash from Bush/Cheney policies, burnout of an overburdened military or just the fact that it's less-white than in the past. Whether we're talking about the political beliefs of long-dead veterans whose stories are archived here or the present day military, I don't think either party can claim a lock on the ideology of individual service men/women. Because of that, the homepage of THIS site should be neutral. Perhaps rudely articulated, but that was my original point.

My grandfather once told me "Republicans and Democrats are equally skilled at wasting your taxes or wasting your life, they just spin it different."

Poor Snookums - can't seem to differentiate empassioned opinion with angry, hard-right-wingers/Bubbas. Why the pejorative designation? By your definition, the Founding Fathers would fit your category. And by your typically condescending description, you automatically lose much credibility with me. The same condescending attitude was one of the reasons why Algore lost the election; same-same for John "Did I tell you I was a Vietnam veteran?" Kerry.

You might want to learn some manners aobut this website. It is not your place to tell David what his home page should consist of. It is not your place to tell him either what should or shouldn't be included. Grow up or leave. And if you want a list of my bona fides, I'll gladly provide them.

Had you used your pseudo intellect you would have seen there are two appropriate forums for your thread: Recommendations to the administrator and politics.

I take exception to your use of "Bubbas". In your context it is the same as "trailer trash. You say it was an attempt at humor but humor at the expense of others isn't funny. When I mentiolneed that I may be a Bubba I forgot to mention I live in a trailer.

Default jriley 1349,...

Heard much the same typical Lordly Dem Excusing comparisons often enough, JR., even though realistically like comparing sweet apples to pickles or sour grapes.

Thus, and except for that: "Living in a trailer" bit, "Totally HONEST Neil" must agree entirely with similarly sensible & Quite Honest & Honorable Brice & Whale.

Besides, your standardly echoed comparisons of Dem to Republican hierarchies just are not so.

Basically, perpetually campaigning Dems and their constant ploys & deceits are meant soley for confusing voters by usually & bogusly depicting all Republicans/Conservatives as The Bad Guys.

Hell,...no Republican/Conservative ex-Presidents ever low-rated, belittled & demeaned nor even insultingly called A WARTIME Commander-In-Chief: "A LIAR" to The World & Our Allies.

"Slick Willy" & "Jimmy Who?" sure-as-hell did,...and REPEATEDLY to-boot!

No Republican/Conservative Presidents ever publically blamed or corrected everything imaginable under-the-sun on a previous President & Administration,...as Obama & Gang DAILY DO. Nor, have any other American Leaders ever apologized to the entire world for actions of all previous leaders of The Most Caring & Compassionate Nation in the history of earth and/or The USA, as: "His Barackness" often does.

Nowadays wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if The Barack/Rham/Nancy Royal Court wouldn't even blame all that inevitable: "Global Warming" which ALWAYS preceeds Ice Ages,...on either Bush or Reagan or both.

Though, why not constantly trash Bush & all political oppositions,...all you: "In-your-face", "I Won" & "We Won" Dems? Whose to stop such, Your Typical Lies, Deceits & UN-Constitutionally-Dictatorial Decrees? Hey,...Total Control is Total Control,...and that's that.
